You know that line from Ferris Beuhler, "Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it?" Well, that sums up our time these days. It is amazing to me how quickly this kid is growing up, learning, and moving on. He is so smart and funny. I just love being his mom.
My video camera is broken - I believe broken collectively by me and the monkey. Cameras are not toys for a 1 year old. Oh well, lesson learned. So, I can't share with you a video, but just imagine in your head instead.
Elliott LOVES to dance! He is so good, and has amazing signature moves. He has favorite dancy dance songs which include, "Idlewild" by Outkast, "Young Folks" by Peter Bjorn and John, and "Sound of Settling" by Death Cab for Cutie. His moves run the gamut, but he has a shoulder roll to die for and when he's really feelin' groovy, he opens his hald, palm out and moves it across his face ala John Travolta in any movie he dances in. It's fantastic.
The kid has rhythm, too. All three of us were watching "the office" last night when that new ipod commercial came on - the new one with the silhouette dancing - and while he was sitting next to me on the couch, the E-man (that's his dancing name) started to get his groove on. He couldn't help it. The shoulders were rollin' and the head was a bopin'.
He's awesome.

oh my gosh! avery was totally dancing to that commercial as well last night during the office! it was on i think about 3 different times and she was completely mesmerized by the colors and the song. she likes to dance too but it's just cute little hip shaking....it's awesome....
i can't beleive he's so big already. man really they do grow up fast....it's sad.
He's so cute! Mason's really into dancing lately, too, in fact I was too composing a blog post about it in my head over the past few days. I want to teach him the John Travolta move, though, that sounds great!
That iPod song is by The Ting Tings, they have it up on their myspace page, yes, I do know this because it's on constant repeat at our house for the toddler dancing needs around here, too. :) Another good one is "Shake It" by Metro Station.
You're so right, they grow up so fast. It's amazing to see them go and learn and discover new things each day!
